Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is not a disease

Two inspiring videos where American Psychologist John Breeding looks into deconstructing language and practice by simply changing the light in which the terms 'obsessive' and 'compulsive' are generally seen.

  1. dear prarthana
can you make me one of the subjects of your study - i make if you bring out a questionnaire i'd like to fill it up
i have obsessive compulsive behaviour and so i find your project intriguing
i also want you to look at autism to compare and contrast how obsession works for people like you and me -still we keep ourselves functional etc., and how it works or doesnt work for people who are autistic.
brilliant choice of subject hope the final product is as interesting

  2. Thank you Koshy for the encouraging feedback!
I am in the process of making the questionnaire right now. I will send it to you in a days time. Could you please tell me if you know of more people who wouldn't mind sharing their obsessive experiences. That will be very helpful. And also if you know of any movies, books, people/characters, objects or spaces related to the idea, please do tell me.

Thanks a lot for your time and patience.
    Regards,
    Prarthana
